I help horses and their owners develop deeper, connected relationships through the principles of natural horsemanship.
I started my journey with horses as a young girl. I went through leasing eight different horses. Each showing me the truth of who I was and who I could be. Every horse was honest about the training styles they were put into, good or bad.
I was immediately drawn to natural horsemanship due to the understanding of what the horse needed in each moment. Though each trainer interpreted it differently. At the time Parelli was a popular training technique that taught me to interact with my horse through games and groundwork. But even with those amazing methods, I felt there was something missing.
As my journey progressed and I thought I wanted to pursue equine art, I began studying equine anatomy which brought me to learning about biomechanics. I ended up at a massage therapy school for equine on Vashon Island. My final exam for my certification was on a blind rescue pony. She ended up laying down during my session as I was able to bring her mind to ease. I began my massage therapy business, but I simply wasn’t ready at age 18.
From there, I studied many of the best natural horsemen in the world and attended many clinicians.
In 2020, when the pandemic hit, I was finally able to bring my love of natural horsemanship and equine biomechanics together under instruction From Celeste Lailani-Lazarus.
During my time with her, I learned equine bodywork and biomechanics to release tension within the mind and body of the horse and rider. She also taught me how to show my clients to better balance themselves on their horses, as well as developing better mental connections to solve challenges in their relationship.
This knowledge I have developed over the years has helped me strengthen the connection of horse and rider through proper movement and understanding of the horse’s mind. I look at each day and horse as a new learning experience to further my development as a horsewoman. I hope to pass on this awareness and yearn for knowledge so equestrians can succeed in their goals through connection and understanding.
